BACKGROUND

The largest car importer in the Netherlands, Pon, besides selling cars, also owns the company Mind, a data company that leverages the data that 130.000 connected Volkswagens generate when driving around.

PROJECT

For Pon’s HQ and Future of Mobility Center MOVE in Amsterdam we created a model cityscape of Amsterdam where we showed 3 scenarios that produce specific data points to tell the story of Mind. The challenge was to deliver this in the most playful, interactive and intuitive way possible.

PROCESS

We have build an interactive table with the landscape and features of Amsterdam city, where different toy vehicles were replicating the type of information connected cars tell us.

RESULTS

The final installation translates the story of 130.000 connected cars, and how they tell us data about parking spots, road quality and weather conditions. This overall helps to improve the quality of driving, life in the city and direct benefits to the drivers themselves.
